Tax Credits and Rebates
2011 Federal Tax Credits:
- $300 for installing a qualifying 16 SEER or greater, high efficiency central air conditioner or a qualifying 15 SEER or greater, high efficiency heat pump (or up to 10% of its installed cost),
- $150 for installing a qualifying 95% AFUE, high efficiency furnace (or up to 10% of its installed cost),
- $50 for installing a furnace with a high efficiency blower motor such as a variable speed motor (or up to 10% of its value), The full tax credit is $500.

Lennox Rebate: The last Lennox rebate ran from September 12 to December 2, 2011.
Lennox rebates included:
- $400 for a heating and cooling system: a common system would include either a 95% high efficiency furnace or an 80% two stage/variable speed furnace matched with an XC14 high efficiency air conditioner along with a Honeywell digital, programmable thermostat.
- $200 for individual high efficiency furnace or a two-stage, variable speed furnace.
- $50 for a high efficiency (and very quiet) XC14 air conditioner replacement.
- $50 for an HC16 high efficiency filter and cabinet.
